Got a new toy for the dark legion of cats. We used to have one of these stuffed toys on elastic in an apartment. The cats we had were crazy athletic and would spring up 6 feet to get the birdie.
Right now, the “kittens” now a little over a year old (they were born on July 12-13, 2022), are swatting it and Hobbes is intent on carrying it away since he’s the possessive one. This video has Goose playing with it. He’s panting a bit since he’s been busy.

I always forget these have sound. these little guys have been quite the funny kittens. Unfortunately, Goose has taken to waking us up a half an hour before the alarm goes off. He “barks” with these little “Mrff” noises.

Got to love the kitties.
Speaking of which, we have a new cat. A kitten. Rambunctious little fella. Of course we have a few store bought toys, but I took a couple of Quaker oatmeal containers, cut the bottoms out, then used packing tape to connect them together end to end. A very cheap and fun cat toy. Hilarity ensues 😉

we used to do that for our ferrets. The little carpet sharks loved to zoom in and out of them.
When these guys were wee, I used to crumple up paper for them to bat around. Now anytime I crumple something to throw out, I have an audience.

they’ve been havin a great time with it. Enki loves to grab the mousie and take it as far as the elastic will let him, releasing it so it jumps around a bit.
