Not So Polite Dinner Conversation – Always nice to see repeat lies by Christians, aka SOM is at it again.

Poor Silence of Mind, he’s trying to get attention by attacking John Loftus, a very bad idea. (if you want to know more about Loftus, go here) He claims to have done a “book review” and he reviews none of it, including the chapter he mentions, unable to show why it is wrong. It’s wonderful how the poor christian cultist lies. (memes at the bottom, BTW)

The most notable one is:

Curious how SOM is doing that on his very post. Curious how I’ve never seen in on Loftus’ blog, unless he uses a different screen name and I’m a regular there and a supporter. Christians are often on Loftus’ blog, including a particularly stupid one called Don Camp. Hmm, maybe SOM is Don.

SOM makes claims about the foreword, and amazon has nicely offered it as part of the free sample here. That means anyone cna read it and dispute poor SOM’s claim of “Edward T. Babinski’s forward is based on the common, Bandwagon and Appeal to Authority fallacies, for example.”

It’s great when someone is such a coward to not let people comment, when he knows they will expose his lies. It’s rather amusing that he allowed Archon to comment, and then failed with his continued lying, like this:

The False Dichotomy Fallacy also does not work. God either exists or he doesn’t. Please name another avenue of inquiry that isn’t the pop culture, atheist gibberish you mistakenly lay out as science. Clearly, you, like most atheists, are science illiterate. Otherwise you would not be atheist.

Since I am speaking from knowledge expressed reasonably, your third logical fallacy, Personal Incredulity doesn’t work either. Atheists are the ones who express their personal opinions and talking points as the Gospel truth.

No evidence for SOM’s imaginary friend as usual, and as usual, he and his little friends can’t do what jesus promised to true christians. Of course, christians can’t agree if miracles still can be done or not, which contradicts what their bible says. Tsk.

And SOM does indeed use a false dichotomy fallacy, with his claim that there are only two possibilities, his god exists or something comes from nothing.

They also have no idea what the sciences are or have discovered. The various sciences have shown that the bible is full of nonsense, that if this god existed, could have corrected, but didn’t.

Stars aren’t little lights in a solid dome that can be knocked off.

Illness isn’t caused by this god’s wrath.

Hailstones aren’t kept in magic warehouses.

The sun doesn’t circle the earth and can’t stop.

The few accurate things in the bible that it does get right are from other cultures and observation. Curious how one of the things that it does get right is that abortions can be caused by “bitter water” if it is made bitter with herbs like rue, tansy, pennyroyal, etc. Funny how this god approves of abortion and gives instructions for it.

it is amusing when Barabbas Me makes this comment “I had this book on my shelf at one time. Although I obviously disagreed with the ‘evidence’ and argumentation, loftus himself and the book was no slouch. With respect to som and CS, I’m not sure either of you actually read the book.”

and then ignorantly accepts the lies of SOM and our ol’ ignorant failure Colorstorm. As I stated above, SOM evidently isn’t on Loftus’ site and doesn’t seem to have read the book he claims to. He can’t show any of the supposed fallacies he found therein at all.
