Not So Polite Dinner Conversation – I was wrong, but it seems reality is even stranger than fiction

So, at this moment, morning eastern daylight time on September 13, 2025, it seems that the shooting of Charlie Kirk was no more than internecine violence between maga gangs: turning point and “groypers“. Make no mistake, no one but the shooter is the murderer, but these groups that glorify violence are the root of things.

They can’t agree on who is “pure” enough or which side should have the power. One can point to the “Night of the Long Knives” in nazi history.

It’s notable how maga losers like Laura Loomer wrote this about Kirk: “I don’t ever want to hear [Charlie Kirk] claim he is pro-Trump ever again. After this weekend, I’d say he has revealed himself as political opportunist and I have had a front row seat to witness the mental gymnastics these last 10 years,” Loomer wrote in her past post about Kirk. “Lately, Charlie has decided to behave like a charlatan, claiming to be pro-Trump one day while he stabs Trump in the back the next. TPUSA was only able to thrive thanks to the generosity of President Trump.”

She has, of course, deleted this from her account. These trumpees seem to forget that the internet is often being recorded.

Like all fanatics, they always turn on each other.

“”But people can be fooled. So to prevent them from being confused by any misleading instructions from the enemy, they hardwired the machine half of the weapons not to respond to anyone who wasn’t pure Ikarran. There’s one problem, Commander. How do you define a pure Ikarran, or a pure human? No one is pure. No one.”

— Franklin to Sinclair in Babylon 5:”Infection”

BTW, it’s rather unlikely any “liberal” would put ““If you read this you are gay LMAO” on a bullet considering how liberals don’t find being LGBT+ insulting. And there was nothing about trans folks, law enforcement managed to confuse manufacturer’s marks for that.

Addendum: the Guardian has a good review of how maga people have reacted: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/sep/13/charlie-kirk-killing-alleged-shooter-motivation

support the Guardian if you can.

  1. curious how this is the reaction of Utah’s governor: ““Bad stuff happens, and for 33 hours, I was praying that if this had to happen here, it wouldn’t be one of us,” Cox said. “That somebody drove from another state, somebody came from another country. Sadly, that prayer was not answered the way I hoped for.”

He’s a LDS as was the shooter. He also claimed ““Just because I thought it would make it easier on us to say, ‘Hey, we don’t do that here.’ Indeed, Utah is a special place, we lead the nation in charitable giving, we lead the nation in service every year,” Cox said, tears welling in his eyes. “But it did happen here, and it was one of us.””

that’s because charitable giving includes giving to the church. Not to anyone else, but to themselves and their agenda.
