So, we’re supposed to have a ridiculous amount of snow here on Sunday. 12-18 inches or about a half a meter. And places south of us are to get lots and lots of ice, which will bring down trees, power lines, and show again how our infrastructure fails.
Then next weekend I get to go to the mountains of PA for a work bit of nonsense, and it will be bitterly cold and the snow will still be around. It takes some dumb to schedule events in January.
oh well. We’ll have wine, beef stew (my husband’s delectable recipe, on page 13) and fresh bread/garlic butter to eat and watch the snow happen.

This pizza is very good, King Arthur Flake Puff Crust Pizza. Mine was in a few minutes too long, which I like and my spouse doesn’t. Penzey’s, above, has a great frozen pizza topping spice/herb mix.

I’ve taken up embroidery to distract myself and stab something many times. Tatoo drawings are good embroider patterns. I’ve been usign this dissolvable paper that you can print on and stitch through. I’m not great, with knowing a split stitch and a satin stitch, but it’s fun. I’ve been practicing on an old stained gardening vest I have.
