Not So Polite Dinner Conversation – dialogue

A christian pastor wants “dialogue” and yet makes many false claims on his blog about atheists. I wonder if he’ll respond to me and what I wrote.

Again, nothing new, just the usual rebutting.

The early Christians were chasing the nonsense of not dying and being a god’s favored.  Then as they splintered and changed, they became political and they ended up like all religions.  Cults do that sometimes. 

People risk their lives all of the time and often for stupid things. That doesn’t make the stupid things true.

The bible does teach love your enemies and funny how it also has this god murdering them and innocents too.  It’s full of ignorance and contradictions.   Your god doesn’t forgive either and eternally tortures people for disagreeing with it.   So, there’s the power and control, to force this cult on others.   Revelation shows hate, and ignorance and fear and control, all done by Christians.

Your version of Christianity is just like the rest, and not one of you can agree on the most basic things or show that your version is any better than the rest.

There is no free will, and both jesus and paul say that in Matthew 13 and Romans 9.   Both say tha this god has chosen who it will allow to accept it and then it damns everyone else for something they had no choice about.   As soon as this god interferes with human events, free will is also gone since no one can resist an omnipotent being.  So you rlies about it only being “foreknowledge” fail since it is direct action.

Yep, if your god was real I wouldn’t worship such a hideous vicious and violent entity.  However, as I noted above, there is no choice, so your nonsense fails yet again.

Teaching lies to children is child abuse when those lies make the child afraid and ignorant.  It’s great you offer a false dichotomy fallacy to defend your cult’s ignorance and fear.  No, dear, one doesn’t tell “Billy” that one is food for worms.  One tells Billy that there is no god and we all have one life to live as well as possible.  It’s great how Christians think a lie is better than the truth. 

Yes, I see what you are getting at, the typical false claims of a Christian who must use ignorance and fear to scare people into the cult.

This god does not love children, it murders them repeatedly in the bible and often kills them for things they didn’t do or have control over. How about telling a child that, dear, if you want to tell them all about the bible? 

ROFL.  The gospel is only about behavior modification and fear.  That’s why you have your cult’s belief about “hell”. 

No reason to fear hell since it is imaginary nonsense invented by humans who want to control others.  Hell is indeed the “right” message from Christianity.  It’s there to control, nothing more.  As is typical you try to claim that only your version of the cult is the right one and fail to support that claim.  Since no Christian can agree on what saves someone, then you al don’t know what will send you to “hell”. 

Yep, must happier without the cult lying to me.  The claim that people in cults are happier is equivalent to saying that since a drunk is happier, everyone should be drunk.  Church isn’t an “investment” since again, chrisians can’t even agree on which version of their cult is the right one.  Happily, us atheists have just as much purpose, meaning and giving to others as christains do.  And we don’t have to lie and claim we’ve given to people when all we did was talk to our imaginary friend.  

Funny how Christianity has indeed helped shape the world and for the worse.  You simply lie when you claim Christianity is responsible for “freedom”.  Sorry, dear, your religion and god literally say slavery is fine. Morals and the idea of humaneness has existed long before your cult. 

Christianity has harmed me and my friends because of cultists claiming that their god hates certain people and gee, Christians act on that hate.  Christians have murdered each other and have caused wars thanks to that hate between them.   Protestant and Catholics caused much misery and hardship during their wars. 

Since the church is humans, the whine that But but you can’t blame the church is simply false.  If your god does nothing to correct its followers, then yep, it’s the fault of your god when they harm others.  Making videos, blog posts etc all are us speaking up so christian lies don’t stand, lies like you have tried to spread here.     
It’s hilarious how you claim each other are “weirdos” too.  As I’ve noted, Christians to love to attack each other and then pretend that only they are the TrueChristians™, and that only your particular magic decoder ring is the right one. 

Christianity has done little for the world.  The sciences would have been discsovered with or without it.   Christianity has done its best to lie about those sciences with their nonsense about creationism etc.  The art was wasted on the rich Christians, and years of labor was wasted on your cathedrals when it could have been used to make things better for people.  Huge buildings that have few in them except one day a week.  Education was around far longer than your cult, as was medicine, children’s rights, etc.  It was your cult that said that it was fine to enslave anyone who wasn’t a Christian, including children. 

Yep, no miracles with cameras and with doubt.  Funny how the bible has jesus promising that his true followers would be able to do miracles like him and to get any prayer answered. Not one of you can do that.  So what the problem?  Is it that your god does’nt think you are true followers or is it that your god doesn’t exist? 

The bible is a set of claims and surprise, no evidence for those claims.  So your touting miracles in your bible is like an ancient Greek saying that Hercules actually existed and did the twelve miraculous labors.  There is no miracle every twenty years and not a single event in the bibl can be shown to have happened.  No creation, no flood, no babel, no exodus, no magical savior and no resurrection.  So your excuses fail yet again.

Curious how there is nothing in the bible about people went back the next day for food. They followed him and nothignn says it was for more food.  And curious how this jesus can’t decide if he gives signs or not and what they are for.  He whines about the sign of Jonah and then he says that all of his miracles are for people to believe in him.

Those videos are hilarious since yet again no evidence, just claims.  No medical records, just frauds and its always something that no one can tell has changed.  It’s hilarious how it is more than obvious he still can’t see anything since his eyes track nothing and surprise, he can’t get out of the tub himself.     

Christianity was invented by humans and then promptly splintered.  Strangehow this god tells no one in ancient meso America about himself, no one in china, etc.  It’s aonly humans that carry the nonsense.  No invitations at all, just humans bothering other humans.  It’s also hilarious how your ignorance of how far Islam has spread shows your claims to be false.  

Numbers of translations doesn’t mean your cult’s lies are true either.  That you would think that this is important is great.  Christianity isn’t growing around the world since Christians are sure that other Christians aren’t really Christians at all.   In all of those places, it was humans taking the cult there, nothing else. 

And it’s great how then you blame people for your god’s failure. It’s even better when you posit nonsense like “but but those peo[pel who didn’t know about jesus wouldn’t have accepted him anyway” and then try to claim it isn’t what you believe.  Your “something to consider” is just the lies of a Christian who needs to try to run something up the flagpole before he admits that he does nothing more than blame the victim. 

You can’t even admit what Christianity is the right one. 

The first part of #10 is hilarious since no atheist has ever claimed that nonsense.   There are atheists because this god does nothing and its followers can’t produce it.  And gee, if prayer actually worked, yep, ther wouldn’t be the need for hospitals.  Christains hate to admit that their jesus/god promised he would provide everything needed for life, including healing as the book of james promises.  And yet this jesus fails miserably. 

That billions believe in many many different gods including Christians is why this cult fails and its claims are lies.  And as usual, the christain must lie about prayers’ effectiveness.  Yep, he has no idea why people get healed and some don’t, and as usual, he can’t show anyone gets magically healed.  Thes frauds just shrug their shoulders and keep believeing in their lies because they are sure they will get magical presents when they die, nothing more than arrogance and selfishness.

It’s notable how Christians make up the “no not yet”, “here’s something different,” etc excuses for why their god fails and yet jesus says that true followers will get any prayer answered, with what is asked for and quickly.  Their bible shows them as liars. 

The bible is a book, or more appropriately, a set of books never mean to be together, from many anonymous authors and many different time periods.  So when his fraud lies and claims it is not a book, that’s quite false.  It does not talk about real places, people or events.  It occasionally mentions some real places and people, but not what actually happened.  So it is exactly like any fiction set in the real world, from Spider-man, to the Greek and Egyptian myths about their gods, etc.  The bible is not reliable and can’t even keep its own stories straight from the old testament to he gospels to paul’s nonsense. 

It has changed the world because of ignorant Christians spreading its ignorance and hate.  And curious how many religions lead ot charity, so that lie also fails in showing this cult is anything special.  As for ending slavery, that’s also a lie since the abolititionists had to literally ignore their bibl when they helped the slaves to freedom.  The bible says slaves should never seek their freedom and their suffering is good for this god (1 Peter 2).  

For claims of wanting dialogue, there are a lot of easily dispelled lies here.  There is no truth in this religion, and having been a Christian, I know that the actual truth did set me free.
