I’ve been engaged with a Christian, named Paul. He is typical, when unable to defend his claims against my points, he of course won’t allow my comments to appear any longer. he of course, wants to bother me via email. That’s no problem. I can show him to be a failure there too.
He is ever so sure that his TrueChristian(tm) nonsense will impress and convert atheists and asked for his nonsense to be shown here. I agreed.

His responses sound as if he is transfixed in some post-hypnotic state which, not surprisingly, I find many of his ire. They live in a world of make-believe where you can summon up just about anything – good, bad, or indifferent – to suit your needs at the time. No matter that a “true” omniscient being should have seen all of this coming to begin with and would therefore have no need to go through the time-wasting efforts of letting people go through their lives before sentencing them to an eternity in the lake of fire. Shouldn’t he/she/it have already known how the person’s life would end up? Why bother? Shouldn’t an eternal, all-knowing, all-powerful, omnipresent being have better things to do? I guess not.

William Lane Craig uses a ploy to debate against atheism that goes like this: (Speaking to Christopher Hitchens) So tell us what evidence you have that there is no god? Hitchens explains that there is no evidence which is why he doesn’t believe in any supernatural beings, powers, etc. Craig then says “Since you have no evidence that god doesn’t exist I think it is more rational and reasonable to believe he does exist so I’m going to stay with faith!’ Clearly Craig should know that as the affirmative position holder it is incumbent upon HIM to demonstrate proof that his assertion is true, that a god does, in fact, exist. He doesn’t provide any proof or evidence of anything he asserts.
Your statement also rings of this as well; sort of Pascal’s Wager; since you don’t know for sure perhaps it’s best to just believe and play it safe. Why is it “best” to believe in Christ rather than defend him? There is an abundance of overwhelming evidence that the gospels have been made-up, sometimes out of whole cloth, sometimes with just a pinch of history and the whole enterprise is nothing more than mythology.
