Not So Polite Dinner Conversation – Christian nationalists terrified of being outed by Military Religious Freedom Foundation

Christian nationalist GOP Congressman Mike Turner of Ohio, has introduced an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for FY 2024 designed to shut MRFF (Military Religious Freedom Foundation) down. Turner’s amendment, PASSED last week by the GOP-led House Armed Services Committee, would make it ILLEGAL for Department of Defense personnel to even communicate with MRFF!

If this amendment remains in the final bill, it will become LAW, specifically it will become part of Title 10 of the U.S. Code, also known as the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). This means that if a military commander even responds to an email from MRFF, or makes any decision as a result of being contacted by MRFF, that commander can be charged with violating the UCMJ and potentially face a court-martial!

This is what christian nationalists do, try to shut down anyone who reveals their attempts to subvert the US military with their lies. they need force to make everyone obey their garbage.

It appears that other congress people voted for this garbage, including democrats, since it was part of a collection of amendments that they didn’t bother reading.

What Mikey Weinstein, the founder of MRFF, has to say:

““If they don’t like what we do at MRFF on behalf of our 84,000-plus military and veteran clients, they can take a number, pack a picnic lunch and stand in line with the rest of those fundamentalist Christian extremist bastards who constitute our enemies,” said Mikey Weinstein, president and founder of the group.”

  1. Right. The UCMJ is enforced within the military. I’m surprised that congress even gets a vote. Anyway, (sniff, sniff), First Amendment, anyone?
