Yep, these selfish arrogant assholes insist that their god saved them but gee, the poor thing couldn’t help Lisa Lopez-Galvan who died or the kids who will have to live with trauma.
They’ll try to claim free will or some other garbage to defend their heartlessness and selfishness, but alas, their god says that the intent is the same as the act, and it repeatedly stops people from doing actions when it disapproves. These are the same pathetic failrues who say “Gawd saved us from the tornado” but don’t give a fuck about the family down the road.
This is why I’m an atheist and an anti-theist. This cult is based on ignorance, arrogance, selfishness, fear and hate.
Club Schadenfreude 
I am convinced that there is not any god (or a lot of other stuff like angels and devils, except the human kind). I do not identify as atheist for any other reason. However, I agree. I see virtually nothing in the behavior of most Christians that might entice me to join the club (again).
The real irritation for me regarding believers (esp. evangelical Christians) is the pride (yep, one of the magnificently deadly 7). You’ve pointed it out before, but they consider themselves not only “chosen,” but (literally) better than thou. 🙂
