Wannabee nazis and christian nationalists in the US have elected a rapist and russian asset for president. And unfortunately, the rest of the world will suffer for it.
I was wrong and misjudged just how ignorant and hateful so many americans can be. It’s a terrible loss, but the fight goes on.

I was a poll greeter for six hours yesterday. The maga Mike opposite me summed up what I was seeing. “I never was in a union and I did fine. We don’t need them. And if someone gets hurt on the job, there will be another illegal to replace ‘em. But we should secure the border.” Bullying lunacy.

You’re forgiven. It’s bad enough from where I’m sitting. I cannot imagine the feeling there on the ground. Kid you not, out big arse tv broke 2 days ago. We don’t watch much tv anyway, but had a new one coming today. We called the company and said, “Don’t bother.” I’m going to avoid US capable news companies for the next 4 years.

Sorry, not fighting on. Will still vote for the right choices but will now become uninformed. Have deleted all my news feeds, canceled my WaPo subscription, it will run out in Feb. Will no longer poison my brain with what most other Americans think we should be about. I’ve concluded most Americans are disgusting and like being that way.

Thank you for understanding. I do not plan on quitting the fight, I need time to purge what has accumulated in my brain, reset things and decide what actions will benefit our future. As I posted on Pharyngula, the most powerful government on the planet has been seized by White Nationalist in cahoots with Christians Extremists. They will have four years to do as they please, especially if they can win the House of Representatives, this is close to happening. This is not a time to fight, but a time to clear the slate and reimagine what needs to be done. What we have been doing obviously didn’t work. Little choices will not accomplish much going forward but if it makes people feel good then they should follow their passion. I have a gut feeling the people who think they did the right will suffer the most, along with the rest of us.
PS, the whole world is tilting in the wrong direction, not just America. Hope we can upset this applecart.
