An article in the Guardian (memes and videos following):
“Christian group ‘deceived’ supreme court about LGBTQ+ research, cited scholars say”
On Tuesday, a Christian legal group will urge the US supreme court to overturn a ban on anti-LGBTQ+ “conversion therapy” in a case that could erode protections for transgender and queer youth across the country.
Lawyers from Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), which has opposed abortion and LGBTQ+ rights in high-profile litigation, are representing a woman challenging a 2019 Colorado law that prohibited conversion practices for youth under age 18. The ban applies to licensed clinicians who seek to change a patient’s sexual orientation or gender identity, tactics medical groups have discredited as harmful and ineffective.
ADF’s petition in the case, Chiles v Salazar, cited several scholars to support its argument that conversion practices should once again be permitted. Two of those experts, however, told the Guardian that ADF had “profoundly” misrepresented their research, which discussed the “psychological damage” of conversion therapy.
The family of a deceased researcher, also quoted by ADF, said they were “deeply disturbed” by the “distortion” of his work.
“This is the most upsetting use of my scholarship that has ever happened in my career,” said Clifford Rosky, a University of Utah professor of constitutional law and civil rights. He has worked to ban conversion therapy, but ADF nonetheless cited his research on sexual orientation and LGBTQ+ rights, co-authored with renowned sexuality researcher Dr Lisa Diamond, to bolster its petition. “It’s upsetting because this is lethally dangerous to LGBTQ+ kids,” he said.”

And then we have a maga christian who has been committing voter fraud here in my home state of PA. Yep, nice to see how christians lie and ignore their imaginary friend. Oh and this fraud is part of the same nonsense that Charlie Kirk was. How not surprising.

“MAGA influencer who spread voter fraud conspiracy theories lives in Maryland, votes in Pa.: report”
the original report is from Slate: “Jack Posobiec is very concerned about voter fraud. An influential MAGA voice and prominent conspiracy theorist, he’s perhaps best known for amplifying the 2016 “Pizzagate” conspiracy, which culminated in a man firing a gun in a D.C. pizza restaurant. In the years since, Posobiec has loudly espoused a range of debunked conspiracy theories. That includes the GOP theory—once semi-fringe and now thoroughly MAGA mainstreamed—that Democrats have won elections via millions of fraudulent votes. The Republican National Committee last fall enlisted him to speak to poll watchers about election security. Posobiec is particularly focused on Pennsylvania, repeatedly accusing the state’s Democratic officials of fraud, even spreading conspiracy theories that were followed by an RNC lawsuit.”
always good to see the cultists showing how worthless the cult is.
and now for your amusement:
this is a metal version of the Genesis son “Jesus He Knows Me” from the 80s by Ghost. It is definitely NSFW.
A song from The Resistance. They have many others to check out.

| Thro’ the ghoul-guarded gateways of slumber, Past the wan-moon’d abysses of night, I have liv’d o’er my lives without number, I have sounded all things with my sight; And I struggle and shriek ere the daybreak, being driven to madness with fright. I have whirl’d with the earth at the dawning, When the sky was a vaporous flame; I have seen the dark universe yawning, Where the black planets roll without aim; Where they roll in their horror unheeded, without knowledge or lustre or name. I had drifted o’er seas without ending, Under sinister grey-clouded skies That the many-fork’d lightning is rending, That resound with hysterical cries; With the moans of invisible daemons that out of the green waters rise. I have plung’d like a deer thro’ the arches Of the hoary primordial grove, Where the oaks feel the presence that marches And stalks on where no spirit dares rove; And I flee from a thing that surrounds me, and leers thro’ dead branches above. I have stumbled by cave-ridden mountains That rise barren and bleak from the plain, I have drunk of the fog-foetid fountains That ooze down to the marsh and the main; And in hot cursed tarns I have seen things I care not to gaze on again. I have scann’d the vast ivy-clad palace, I have trod its untenanted hall, Where the moon writhing up from the valleys Shews the tapestried things on the wall; Strange figures discordantly woven, which I cannot endure to recall. I have peer’d from the casement in wonder At the mouldering meadows around, At the many-roof’d village laid under The curse of a grave-girdled ground; And from rows of white urn-carven marble I listen intently for sound. I have haunted the tombs of the ages, I have flown on the pinions of fear Where the smoke-belching Erebus rages, Where the jokulls loom snow-clad and drear: And in realms where the sun of the desert consumes what it never can cheer. I was old when the Pharaohs first mounted The jewel-deck’d throne by the Nile; I was old in those epochs uncounted When I, and I only, was vile; And Man, yet untainted and happy, dwelt in bliss on the far Arctic isle. Oh, great was the sin of my spirit, And great is the reach of its doom; Not the pity of Heaven can cheer it, Nor can respite be found in the tomb: Down the infinite aeons come beating the wings of unmerciful gloom. Thro’ the ghoul-guarded gateways of slumber, Past the wan-moon’d abysses of night, I have liv’d o’er my lives without number, I have sounded all things with my sight; And I struggle and shriek ere the daybreak, being driven to madness with fright. |

I’m all for protecting people’s rights and their psychological health. My search on conversion therapy resulted in this from Wikipedia:
“Conversion therapy often consists of methods that involve, but are not limited to, talk therapy, aversion therapy, brain surgery, chemical castration, surgical castration, hypnosis, psychoanalysis, corrective rape, and various religious practices, including prayer and exorcism.[8]
When performed today, conversion therapy may constitute fraud, and when performed on minors, a form of child abuse. It has been described by experts as torture; cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment; and contrary to human rights. Many jurisdictions around the world have passed laws against conversion therapy.[9]“
I think talk therapy would probably be harmless, but the rest of what is listed there is truly evil. People’s free choice to live their own life must be respected.

talk therapy can cause harm just like it can help. To convince someone that they shouldn’t be who they are when they are vulnerable is the worst kind of predation.

Of course you are correct, talk therapy can cause harm if done in a cruel way. But what I am talking about is Christians sharing the truth in love.
A question to think about is, Why suggest that these sexual issues define “who they are?” From the Christian perspective, LGBTQ issues are a result of sin and confusion. So talk therapy done in love would try to help the person out of the problems they are having.
As you can see, it is difficult to come to agreement on the right course of action, because Secularists view these issues as “who they are,” and Christians view these issues as problems to be overcome with loving help.

there is no truth in christianity since christians themselves can’t agreeo n what their imaginary friend wants. They don’t want to share the truth, they want more people for the cult and obeying what they think is “right”. That isn’t love.
From the christian perspective, their imaginary friend doesn’t like LGBT+ plus people and they can’t evne show it exists. It’s humans who think it is “sin and confusion”, and they have no evidence for their claims.
You assume that someone has problems if they are LGBT+ and that is a baseless assertion that depends on a religion that can’t support its claims.
Cults always tout “love” and that they have a cure for a sickness they invent.

Talk therapy in the context of conversion therapy is a disaster waiting to happen. The “therapist” is likely already in a position of opposition to the client’s stated sexuality and gender, and I’d be very surprised if they had any training at all in clinical psychology.

I love that all their phony baloney rganizations are called “Freedom-Something or other”! That really makes me laugh! Yeah. They’re “freeing” us from our freedom! They are so obvious in their ulterior motives that they don’t even TRY to hide them anymore. They are just out on the open eschewing their so-called “Christian” BS. It is anything but. They are nothing more than anti-democratic miscreants, criminals really now, with a cross. No meaning behind it at all. Just a cover for their crimes.
