What the Boss Likes – Inherited morality and rocks

I very much like Reasoned Reality’s substack about morality.

And here’s a good article on ancient geology and the
“great unconformity” : Ancient rocks point to an early start for the Great Unconformity—the biggest gap in Earth’s rock record

Addendum: and i finished my embroidery on my old garden vest. Foxglove, monkshood, hemlock, nightshade, thistle, jimsonweed, daffodil, lilly of the valley and poison ivy.

  1. These people have no idea what a “social species” is, nor any idea that there are thousands of them including humans. And indeed no idea that you can describe humans with any phrase including “species”, because they think that humans are totally removed from the animal kingdom.

  2. You can say that morality was a “trickle up” event as we, humans as social creatures, decided ourselves how we should behave as individuals living among a larger group with a mind towards survival. It seems insulting to humanity that people couldn’t figure out without a deity a legal code or system of law that covers the most egregious violations; to murder, rape, theft, and mayhem.

Humanity didn’t get its’ morality from the Bible, the Bible got its morality from its human writers.
