Not So Polite Dinner Conversation – I had wondered when this would come about

“In a stunning decision out of Indiana, a judge has blocked the Republican-led state’s near-total abortion ban saying that it violates the religious freedom of those whose beliefs require them to get an abortion when they believe it’s necessary.” – Indiana judge says state’s abortion ban violates religious freedom of those seeking abortions, Friendly Atheist

  1. I think this is an acknowledgement that Secular Humanism is a religion. Then the question becomes, how far do we allow religious liberty in the face of morality? If abortion is murder, and it is, then shouldn’t that curtail religious liberty? Everything was much simpler and much better when Christianity was running the show. Secularists have made a mess of morality.

    1. That’s incorrect. Other religions exist that do not follow the ignorance of christianity and allow abortions. If abortion is murder, then your god is a murderer. Are you good with that? It terminates pregnancies in the bible, it commits and commands genocide, and it kills people, including children, for things they didn’t do.

ROFL. it’ shows just how ignorant you are when you claim “Everything was much simpler and much better when Christianity was running the show. Secularists have made a mess of morality.” Christians do not, and have not agreed on morality or what their god wants. They have repeatedly murdered each other over their differences. They have murdered other people because they were not christians.

This is why your cult is so dangerous. It requires ignorance to exist and you are a example of how that fails miserably.

      1. You have a penchant for bombastic accusations, where you try to conflate every claim ever made against Christianity, as though they all apply equally, and are all true. This makes it very difficult to have a meaningful conversation with you.

I’ll respond to the first accusation you made, since there are too many to deal with all at once. You claimed, “If abortion is murder, then your god is a murderer. Are you good with that? It terminates pregnancies in the bible,…” In response I would say that God is the giver of life, and God has the right to take away the life he has given. God created us, so God owns us, God makes the rules. So when God decides someone’s life will end, he has the right to do that.

      2. You have yet to show I’m wrong. The judgement in the case above considers other religions and does not define humanism as a religion. There is a similar case in Florida where Jewish people are appealing the anti abortion nonsense too.

For all christians claim to be moral, you have shown that your morality is no more than might equals right. You claim that since this god supposedly gives life, it can take it away. You are not considered with justice or human rights, you are a sycophant who would bow to anyone if they had enough power.

it is no surprise you tried to avoid addressing my second point about morality since christains have no objective morality and cannot agree on morality at all.
