Just a few pictures. I got some wine cap mushroom spore last year and put it into a pile of hardwood chips. I thought it had failed but lo and behold, it gave me some shrooms this year:

And here’s a very spiky clematis and bleeding hearts from my garden.

Very nice. My mom’s thing was her beautiful flowers that she grew. So all while I was growing up it was nice. Unfortunately, while I like flowers I am more of the mower type, love to mow so that everything is neat and tidy. My sister gave me a hint decades ago as I was beginning my mowing career at our house. It was: if you cut everything, the weeds just aren’t that obvious.
Our main decoration is our trees. Trees in the front yard that were planted nearly 30 years ago are now large and beautiful. (Same with the back.) They are mostly evergreen so they are pretty all year. My tulips started 2 weeks early and the flag iris came even earlier! We have a lovely vinca that helps cover flaws. 😉

Heh, I got to mow last night. crazy weather made my lawn about 10 inches deep. We used to have a big locust tree in the front that shed beans everywhere. It had to come down when we found our gas line was running through it. I planted a autumn brillance servicetree in its place just two years ago.

That sounds nice. Our lawn got cut by Bob and needs it again, quick. Dandelions grew and sprouted seeds and all within about 2 days! I didn’t even see the damn things.
My parents’ house had overgrown trees and bushes, but it was kind of nice. After they died and someone else bought it, they cut down almost all the trees and bushes. They just didn’t want to bother.
