There is no one Christianity. There are dozens, if not thousands, of contradictory versions. And it seems that the catholics are looking to add to that.

Notable how this god does nothing to sort things out and still no christian can do what their messiah promised. This isn’t limited to one religion and it’s quite a circular firing squad.

A god who cared about what humans believed could have given us a method to sort this religious mess all out. Or could have made us smart enough to work it out for ourselves. That points to a god who either doesn’t exist, or is a complete asshole.

This sort of thing happens so often with the Roman Catholic Church it’s almost a tradition. Protestants, though they are not willing to admit it, are people who broke away from the Catholic Church, or are descendants of such. Remember Vatican II and Pope John XXIII? I do. My aunt quit going to Mass because of the changes.
Now these wankers claim they made new bishops. No, they didn’t. They claim The Vatican has parted from “tradition.” Such silly BS. What can be more traditional than “The Pope is the leader of the Catholic Church?”
Just as it was with Heny VIII (and the RC club survived that), this is politics and has virtually nothing to do with religion.
As far as being “automatically excommunicated,” I say, “Welcome to the same room as atheists.” 🙂

What can you really say about this? Religion is so F’d up. Wasn’t Martin Luther the original rebel? Or was Jeebus the original? Nothing like rebelling against the powers who control what God is telling us.
Now with Trump pooping all over civilization we have every right-minded freak trying to climb on the bandwagon. The popularity of the conservative movement needs to be squashed thoroughly, and soon. I can’t see the Pope doing much to make this go away. Hopefully the midterms will help, not real confident about that with the ignorance level approaching maximum levels. I still see quite a few people walking around sporting MAGA regalia, despite the failures of the current administration. I do live in a solid red county. I don’t believe we can wait until 2028 as Trump continues to play the religious fanatics. In Texass grammar school students have to read bible quotes as part of their education. THIS NEEDS TO STOP! Talk about grooming.

The tsunami of propaganda is overwhelming and more than capable of crushing the ignorant. I do not see too many on the other side who would be capable of dealing with this onslaught.
