Nothing new, just another christian who has invented a “kinder gentler” version of the cult by ignoring all he doesn’t like about it. And who is too frightened to allow comments remarking that his invention is nothing new. My response below: (btw, memes at the end if you just want to scroll down)
Like so many other Christians, you have invented your own version. Per your bible, your god is exactly a “powerful controlling being” who has no problem with genocide, slavery and killing people, including children, for things they did not do.
You seem to want to get away from that god and invent a nicer version, which is is equally valid but no more true than the bible god. It literally is a patriarchal tyrant, having women as property, and demanding obedience above all else. This god is a limited god, having to look down at things or needing to go see things, so it isn’t just “being”. Per the bible, this god is literally in the sky, above a solid dome that has little lights on it that can be knocked off.
Your god does nothing and evidently is quite inaccessible per many Christians, when they claim it is outside space and time.
Your god proclaimed by jesus christ is the vicious ignorant monster from the Old testament. This jesus says all of those ridiculous laws must be followed until the heavens and earth end. They haven’t yet, so why is it that christians aren’t out there killing adulterers? You claim a new “covenant” but nothing that the bible has jesus saying supports that you don’t have to follow those laws.
Your god is no different from any other god invented by humans in the bronze/iron age. It is a big human, with the same flaws as humans have, being jealous, being ignorant, etc. Your god also fails the half-decent description of love in the bible itself, failing all of it. This god is nothing about justice, murdering people for things they didn’t do. Happily, no one needs this god to have love.
I believe in the power of love and it has nothing to do with your religion or your imaginary friend. Love is subjective and it can come and go. Love failed in the holocaust, your god failed in many many things.
And then we have the sturm und drang christian that makes the usual impotent threats and is quite sure that they can’t possibly be an atheist.
I am always amused with how christians are terrified of being called atheists. They are since atheism is no more than concluding a particular god or gods don’t exist. One can be a theist when it comes to a god or gods and an atheists when it comes to other gods.

Ah, nothing like presuppositions to base your arguments on. I don’t believe jesus christ exists, so i am not working against your imaginary friend. I also have not seen a single person saved, so again, your claims are based on nonsense you can’t support.
Just insert another god’s name and you have why this poor fellow is an atheist too.

Yep, no objective morality and no standard for morality. Christians themselves can’t agree on what morals their god wants so they don’t have a standard either, only their opinion. This means they also can’t say anything is “right” or “wrong” per this poor fellow’s argument.
Happily, we can say things are right and wrong and that depends on our own morality. The fact that it is subjective doesn’t mean it can’t be used to make personal judgements. No god is needed at all.
Per your bible, your god has already chosen who it will allow to accept it, and then damns the rest for no choice of their own. Your impotent threats fail and are lies per your bible.
As for Romans 1, every cult makes the same claims and not one of these cults can show that their god merely exists.
Christians can’t agree on what their “judgment day” standard even is.
Your imaginary friend did nothing, you have a story, nothing more.
and amusingly, christians can’t agree on how someone is saved or who is saved.
