Christians love to pretend they are unfairly attacked adn that atheists don’t spend as much time showing other cults as wrong. That’s because, here in the US, the Christians are doing their best to take over the country. Islam is just as ridiculous, but it is a smaller current threat.
The followinig is my reply to a “skeptic” who seems to be a Catholic apologist who insists he’s being unfairly targeted:
Happily, many of us atheists do criticize both religions with the same standard. That you claim otherwise is amusing and only shows your ignorance.
Both Christianity and Islam are based on assertions that have no evidence to support them. They are both prone to ignorance and violence. Secular law does its best to stop them, and in western countries, that has largely stemmed the tide of both ignorance and violence from Christianity. In the theocratic countries of the muslim world, it is much harder since the cult is part of the state.
I reject your jesus was divine and that Mo rode a magic pony to Jerusalem. Neither religion can support their claims; you both literally fail at reality. Both your holy books are full of ignorance and hate, lauding your deity when it supports slavery, genocide and killing people, including children, for things they didn’t do.
Both religions can’t agree on what morals their imaginary friends want, nor can they agree on what those entities consider to be a “sin”. And not one of you believers can do what your cult’s promise. Your gods have no problem with abortions, no problem with rape, no problem with murder.
So, your strawman fails and your cult follows. Christian sects attack each other constantly, just like the sects of islam do. The internal hate of your cults is amusing when watched from the outside. Catholics are as much frauds as every other cult.

Religion – all religion – is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated against humanity. It fails, has failed, consistently over eons of time to fulfill any of its ridiculous claims. In the end, one can easily see that it is nothing more than another vehicle used to acquire control, wealth, and power, and nothing else. Many or perhaps most of the so-called adherents to Christianity (I’ll use Christianity as an example) don’t even bother to live by the principles and tenets of its founder. Why? If they really did believe in hell, for instance, would we still see legions of Christian preachers, priests, ministers, clerics, etc., caught in various sexual affairs; homosexual, child molestation, and sexual affairs with the wives of their congregants? I think not. Even the GOP, supposedly the voice of the Christian right, doesn’t follow ANY of Jesus’ commands or they wouldn’t be cutting SNAP programs to feed children, taking medical insurance away from millions of Americans, supporting and extolling the virtues of a criminal, self-absorbed, sociopathic con man like the Fat Felon in the White House, alleging that he was actually SENT by Jesus? Please. You are only embarrassing yourselves even more than your phony piety.
Sorry, all you holier-than-thou BS artists out there; if you want people to believe that you are truly Christians, you’re going to have to walk the walk and keep the talk to yourselves.
