I decided to do a riff on a webposter I saw on Mike’s website here.
This is an amazing example of layers and cross-bedding, where the direction of the propelling force (in this case both wind and water) changed repeatedly over time, a lot longer than 40 days and 40 nights. This webpage is a very good overview of the stratigraphy of Zion National Park.

For all of her promises of evidence and her claims to want to learn about geology, it seems to have all been a game on her part. There could be other reasons she stopped, but she has had plenty of time to make a graceful exit. She has not. She just becomes one more Christian is willfully ignorant and who makes false claims.

I appreciate your post and your link. Old earth creationism at least acknowledges the facts about the universe and the earth. The whole young earth/old earth creationism split is just more evidence that there is no agreement in Christianity, each Christian thinks their version the only correct one and none of you have any evidence for any version nor for the rest of the essential events in the bible.

I’ve been to Zion National Park and the scenery was awesome, even to this non-geologist. (The brutal heat and temperature fluctuations, however, not so much.)

I too have been to Zion park. It is gorgeous. I did climb to Angel’s Landing…but frankly did not have the balls to go to Angel’s landing two. Am I the only one that finds it highly amusing that this park is absolutely rife with Biblical names and references, when it has ample demonstrations about how wrong the Bible gets it?
