Not So Polite Dinner Conversation – be nice

a rather awesome video (not safe for work for language) that has been around but we just encountered it and thought it needed to be spread a little further.  Always good to have a metal message about freedom and human rights especially when the US is flirting with such stupidity as we are now.

Being nice doesn’t preclude standing up for what’s right.

  1. I found that video quite disturbing. I assume that was the point. I automatically recoil when there’s a child using profanity but I am assuming, again, that it was part of the powerfully disturbing message. Actually, I think horrifying would be a better word.

  2. I found the tone of the piece disturbing – so much so I’m not sure I understand the real message. What I think it is saying and what I feel it is saying seem to be at odds with each other. Perhaps on purpose?

      1. That’s what i thought, but it feels like the message is that unless you are as accepting and tolerant as they are, they will be violent towards you. In other words I found the message threatening instead of encouraging. I think for many that might be counterproductive.
