Not so Polite Dinner Conversation – nothing new, just a post so I can find this nonsense again

(addendum 7/2/23 – Paul has deleted his blog and has ceased emailing me. It’s nothing new for a theist to do this when they find their god isn’t supporting their nonsense).

Paul, a recent guest here, has come off with a rather amusing attack on a fellow christian, Ray Comfort, ol’ Banana Man himself, thanks to my old video of me and Ray discussing his nonsense. There is nothing new here at all, but I did want to archive how christians go after each other and my thoughts about it. If you are a regular here, no need to waste your time.

Paul is a typical christain who is sure that no other christain but him has the right version.  Of course all Christians are sure of this, and it does make for some entertaining contradictions and confusion.   Here we get to see Paul take on Ray Comfort, a fellow who I did a video with in the past.  Paul is upset that I wasn’t addressed with the “right’ kind of Christianity.

Unfortuantely, for Paul, he doesn’t fare any better against me than Ray did.

“Here’s a glorious opportunity for a “Christian” to proclaim the glories and majesty of God and point the world toward the cross for their salvation, and he falls flat on his face like an old fool.”

Always good to see Christians call another Christian a fool.  Jesus seems to think that’s a no-no.

“Andrea here, whom I’ve been communicating with had a zoom call with Ray Comfort. She discussed her issues and he answered them to the best of his ability. However, his pathetic attempts to counter her arguments were just that: pathetic!”

Curious how Paul has used the same arguments and now calls them “pathetic” if someone else uses them.

“Atheists are so, because they choose to be. No one is born an atheist. An atheist is someone who decided in their selfishness and arrogance that the God of the Bible is (write your reason here), and they have concluded through philosophy and secular reasoning that the whole story of redemption and how God dealt with mankind is a myth. Atheists are victims. They have been lied to, abused and used for the devil’s agendas to discredit Jesus Christ and in doing so, take away from His divinity, sinlessness and power to save. Ray Comfort did a poor job here dealing with Andrea’s claims.”

It’s great fun to see Paul think that he’s found out something secret when it comes to my real name. Of course, he uses it and not Vel.  It’s his need to pretend he’s in control.

Being an atheist is not by choice, it is by evidence or the lack thereof.  Paul of course bear false witnesses against me and others since he has nothing else.  We happily aren’t victims but we have indeed been lied to by people like Paul.  It’s amazing how impotent Paul’s god is.

“David’s son was killed by God as punishment for his sin with Bathsheba. Ray did a very poor job defending God’s will and sovereignty. God has the right to do as He pleases to anyone on earth. Neither Andrea or anyone has the right to demand His reasons for anything. We are told this in many places (Isa. 45 and Romans 9 are just two). The wages of sin is death. Sometimes sin comes quickly to claim its reward and sometimes it takes a lifetime. David sinned. He sent Bathsheba’s husband into war to be killed, and committed adultery. He knew what he was doing. He was tempted into sin then used his sway to commit these heinous acts. God forgave him, but David still had to be held accountable. We all know the difference between right and wrong, and David’s action were definitely wrong. God could have claimed David’s life, but allowed him to live.”

Yep, typical excuses for why it’s okay for this god to murder a child, David’s son, rather than the person that offended it.  As all sycophants to tyrants do, Paul says the tyrant can do whatever it wants.  This destroys any claims he has made about objective morality since objective morality would be morality that all must follow, no exceptions for this god.  He also offers excuse why this god does nothing, appealing to notihng more than coincidence.

Paul of course forgets that this instance of this god murdering a child is contradicted by this god itself in Ezekiel 18. So much for an unchanging god.

“Everyone will die, and there’s nothing out there after it. Not much can be said here. We all will die one day and stand before God in judgment. Whether we find ourselves in Andrea’s afterlife, or the Bible’s, the point I would have made, and I’ve said this to Andrea before: You may believe without a shadow of a doubt that your soul will cease to exist and you just vanish, but the point is, how do you know? And of course, she’ll ask me, how do I know? My trust and faith are based and rooted in Scripture. Her’s are based and rooted in her own convictions and conclusions based on what’s she’s read, what’s she’s heard from others like herself and of course our old enemy and his seeds that found fertile ground. If I was a gambling man, I would have to say that her beliefs border on the insane. Mine border on the logical. She is gambling her eternity on what she believes. I am gambling my eternity on what a Book that has been proven to be reliable and true says. She may disagree with me of course, but the proof is in the evidence and the Bible has been proven time and again to be true. Andrea has been proven time and again to be a liar and untrustworthy. Point made.””

Paul then tries to excuse his god’s murderous nonsense with the excus that everyone dies, so what’s one more kid.  Happily, no one will stand in judgement, and Paul’s sadistic fantasies will never come true.  Yep, Paul’s ignorance and belief in magic are rooted in his own convictions and what he has imaged the bible saying.  Alas, there is no logic to belief in the imaginary.  The bible has not been shown to be reliable or true.  That is a presupposition from Paul.

Curiously, Paul can’t show a single time I have lied or that I am untrustworthy.

“I find it hilarious that people like Andrea, Dawkins, Hawkings, etc., all say the same thing. We believe in the Big Bang and evolution, but because the world is so intricately “designed”, yes, designed, that we would have to entertain the notion that there might (must) be an outside force of some sort that designed it all. It’s too complicated to leave it up to chance and trial and error. Like I said in a previous post, just the clotting factor of our bodies needs over 100 steps to work, there’s absolutely no way that these 100 steps came into existence at the same time. So seeing as that can be proven to be true, the first animals to get cut was dead. Simple. Sorry Andrea, you are dodging the truth again.”

Yep, we say the same thing since what we say is based on evidence, not our own opinions.  That’s rather obvious.

No evidence of “design” and I have asked paul to explain why his god made our sun give us cancer and why this god put the esophagus beside the trachea, guaranteeing that thousand of humans choke to death every year.  There has been no response from Paul on this.  All Paul has are appeals to personal ignorance.

“Then of course, dear old Ray uses his tired well-used niche and tries to get Andrea to admit that she’s a rotten, blasphemous cheating, stealing murderous sinner in light of the Ten Commandments. Of course she is! She would even admit it too, but because her moral compass is so perverted and twisted, her up is down and her good is bad. She can’t see the truth even if it hit her in the face and shook her hand. Ray wasted his time in this section again trying to use his well-polished sales pitch to bring Andrea into accountability. Andrea doesn’t need a sales pitch, she needs Jesus.”

Unsurprisingly, Paul can’t show I am anything as he has accused me of.  I would not admit something that isn’t true.  Hmm, which jesus do I need since Christians can’t agree on one?

“I feel sorry for both parties here. Andrea was nervous and wasn’t as confident as she would have liked to be and Ray seemed to be having a bad day. I’m not sure what was going on between the two of them, but neither came out the winner here and God definitely wasn’t glorified, as far as I could see. Andrea is a lost sinner, hurt by the church and bitter against God who refused to answer her prayers quickly. This, in Andrea’s mind proved that God didn’t care which eventually led to her coming to the conclusion that God didn’t exist. Now after 40 years of nursing her hate and hurt, there’s no reasoning with her. Andrea’s views and opinions are so cemented in, that in order to save her, the Holy Spirit will have to come in a break her, crush her and bring her to the end of her confidence and beliefs. It will be only through the Holy Spirit’s love and justice that this poor diluted soul will be saved. If she dies in her sin, she will see for herself that she was so very wrong. But by that time it will be too late.”

Nervous?  Not particularly.  I just don’t like public speaking.  Ray always has a “bad day” since all he has are lies.  Paul hates other Christians that don’t obey him and he hates me for the same reason, so of course he finds nothing to approve here.  Alas, all Paul has are more lies about me. I love his fantasies about harming me, that’s all he has since he is impotent.  I do have to wonder if he’s taking out his frustrations on his family.

“Ray Comfort? I suggest you stop. I suggest you stop everything you’re doing and start over. You’ve gotten too used to dealing with people the same way and it’s become nothing more than a tired sales pitch, similar to the one you’d see from someone at a used car lot. There’s no love, conviction, gentleness or heart in your words. There’s no crying over the lost (at least not in public), there’s no humility. All I’ve seen for years is a well-polished, well-rehearsed performance that has little to no Holy Spirit anointing on it at all. It’s nothing more than another version of the dreaded Evangelism Explosion movement from years ago. You’ve taken Christ out of your message Ray, and that’s why any atheist can see right through it for the fakery it is. Did you pray for Andrea? Did you plead in tears that she come about and seek God? Did you do anything in this video that wasn’t prepared beforehand? I’m calling you out Ray Comfort and plead with you to get back to the passion and joy you once had in speaking with people about the Good News.”

yep, Paul really wants to be important and have people obey him.  Alas, Ray is just his type.  Of course, Paul is sure that only the holy spirit is in him, and surprise, he can’t show that at all.  He’s been praying for me, you know, and has failed every single time.  It’s great to see a Christian doubt another Christians sincerity.

“Lastly, I apologize to Andrea and those like her. This is not true biblical Christianity. I know, you’ll say, ‘Here he goes again…blah, blah, blah,’ but I am sincere here. I have done my best to portray the Good News of the Gospel to you in love and sincerity. Yet you come across someone like Ray who has it down so pat that there’s no love, sincerity or genuineness in his message. No one came out of this the better, or the victor. Andrea didn’t win, she just felt vindicated over making another Christian look foolish, and Ray didn’t win because he had a glorious chance to bring credit, glory and praise to Jesus Christ, but bombed terribly. And I am sorry to my Savior Jesus Christ. You deserve better than this. You deserve to have Your name magnified, glorified and praised from every rooftop because You are so good, so loving, so merciful.

All in all, this was just plain sad.”

Yep, it is sad with poor Paul showing yet again that Christians don’t agree on the most basic things and that every Christian, with their contradictory nonsense claims to be the only “true biblical christanity”.  He’s no more a TrueChristian™ than those he attacks. Ray and Paul both fail for the same reasons: lack of evidence and no god behind them to shore their nonsense up.

Alas, Jesus christ doesn’t care about Paul or Ray, being imaginary and all.  He really does need a better HR service if these two are the best he can muster to “defend” him.

  1. It’s interesting. Christians can be good at criticising other Christians who think differently to them, but they fail to see similar issues with their own behaviour/beliefs. I call it a religions blind spot.

    1. Agreed. Most if not all religions do this, quite sure that they have the Truth(tm) and no one else does. IMO, it’s because their self-worth is so wrapped up in this nonsense, they must demand that others supply them with the validation they crave.

    2. Thanks for the plug Vel! BTW…I know atheists have a hard time accepting that someone might be telling the truth, but no one is a harsher critic of themselves than I. Ray dropped the ball, and it’s my right and responsibility to tell him so. Instead of attacking us, maybe you should be critiquing yourselves and perhaps you’ll see what needs to be cleaned out.

      1. Atheists have no problem with people who tell the truth. You don’t.

It’s hilarious that you think you are any better than ray or anyone else, Paul. You aren’t.

I do enjoy when cultists attack each other over their imaginary nonsense. You are all frauds.

      2. It’s also funny that you are basing everything you’ve said about me on the assumption that I lie. You have no evidence that I lie. You have painted me with the same brush you paint everyone else with. All my emails, posts and comments have been tainted by your hatred for God and in doing so, you conclude that I must be lying. You have absolutely no evidence to support your claims. Also, I wrote you asked you one question: Do you believe in the God of the Bible. Yes or no? Having some trouble with the question? It’s simple. It shouldn’t take any time at all to answer.

      3. I’ve shown that you lie, Paul, so it is not an assumption. You’ve tried to lie about what I have written, so desperate that you edit my posts to remove the parts that show your claims to be false. I do enjoy that you feel your god so puny that it needs defended by you. No one needs to respect your imaginary friend or your lies, Paul.

you lie here “There’s only way to prove to people like you that God exists and well, God forbids that action, so I won’t go there. You’ll know the truth one day, and by that time, it’ll be too late.” since there is no such action.

You claimed “Andrea has been proven time and again to be a liar and untrustworthy.” and when asked, you cannot produce one single instance to support your claim.
It’s great fun that you now ask me if I believe in your imaginary friend, yet you know and acknowledged that I’m an atheist who doesn’t believe in your imaginary friend. Why would you do that, Paul? Are you trying to prove to yourself that your prayers are effective since you are desperately badgering your imaginary friend to make me agree with you?

“Also, I wrote you asked you one question: Do you believe in the God of the Bible. Yes or no? Having some trouble with the question? It’s simple. It shouldn’t take any time at all to answer.”

      4. thanks for showing that you have altered my posts, Paul. It’s great to see just how much your cult needs lies and how you need to hide how you fail.

“this is a typical set of…possible now.”

I didn’t write that. Why do you choose to lie, Paul?

    3. No one is born an atheist.

Errrrum, every human ever born is an a-theist. A-theism is the default position. Theism is new information imposed on the default. It’s why there is absolutely no surprise that Christians are in Europe, Muslims are in the Middle East, and Buddhists are in the East.

Anthropomorphic theism is about as natural as tennis rackets, ice cream cones and bikinis. It is neither automatic nor inevitable. No religion has emerged twice anywhere on the planet, no single deity has been envisaged by two populations separated by time and geography, and not a solitary person in history has arrived independently at Mithraism, Christianity, Islam, Zoroastrianism, Hinduism, Scientology or Judaism without it first being taught to them. That is an inalienable, unarguable truth.

    1. Considering how the bible has no problem with demonstrations of whose god is real battles, these christians should have no problem with being put into a pit with sticks and stones and we can see who wins. I’ve offered christians the chance to show that their god is the right one with a good ol’ fashion altar lighting, but alas, not one has taken up my challenge. They always come back wtih “we can’t test god” and funny how the bible shows that this god has no problem with that at all.

yep, it’s hilarious to see Paul take tantrums when his god (aka him) isn’t getting respect.
