Back among the living again. The surgery went well. Had to stay over a night in the hospital so they could monitor my blood calcium which seems to affect everything, including nerve function. Happily, the hospital actually had decent food and I knew that in advance since I worked there at one point.
So I sat there in a hospital gown and read Sanctuary, a book from the Star Wars universe about the Bad Batch, a group of specialized clone troopers gone rogue from the animated series on Disney+. It was good, sometimes the dialogue didn’t really match the characters but not bad for a first book.
Got to go chew on a few calcium antacid tabs to get the calcium in line, since my finger tips are tingling. That’ll happen until the glands get back into shape. Have a good day!
Good news. 🙂

Glad your surgery went well! Convalescing can be boring etc. Hope you find all the good Star Wars books.

thanks. I’m currently rereading “A New Dawn” which has how Kanan and Hera, characters from the Rebels animated show, meet.

I’ve enjoyed several of the SW shows. We haven’t finished Andor, Season 2 yet, but we will.
I’m also a huge Star Trek fan, so love SNW!

yep, I love both. first saw Star Trek as the animated series when I was 6 years old. then found the blish novelizations in the local library. I had kind of a backward entry into it.

I was about 7 or 8 when TOS came out. So I’ve gotten to watch Star Trek from the beginning.
