Not So Polite Dinner Conversation – lies about love, mercy and pain

oy. In a couple of hours, I’m stuck going to a annual meeting for the organization I work for. Whee, two days of board meetings and tedium. At least I should get a couple of good meals out of it.

(memes and images below, btw)

It’s notable how christains must lie about how their god suposedly “loves” everyone. This poor imaginary creature can’t even manage to come up to the half-decent definition of love in the bible itself (1 Corinthians 13, if you are curious).

Kate tries to make excuses for her imagnary friend here.

This is my response:

ROFL. You have no idea what mercy is, Kate. It isn’t harming people to get them to worship you. That’s what Lewis claims his god does.

““Let me implore the reader to try to believe, if only for the moment, that God, who made these deserving people, may really be right when He thinks that their modest prosperity and the happiness of their children are not enough to make them blessed: that all this must fall from them in the end, and that if they have not learned to know Him they will be wretched. And therefore He troubles them, warning them in advance of an insufficiency that one day they will have to discover.”

You claim your god is about mercy when you have a god that cursed all humanity for the actions of two. You have a god that murders people, including children, for the actions of others. You have a god that personally requests little girls be enslaved and that he gets his share.

All cults claim that the “greatest good” is their cult aka their god. That doesn’t make your cult’s lies true.

Indeed, *If God is truly the source of life and joy*. In that you can’t show your god merely exists, much less that it is what you claim, you have nothing. Allowing people to exist without damning them to eternal torture is loving. Being such a petty creature that you must torture people for daring not to agree with you isn’t love, it’s narcissim and neediness.

Your god is manipulating and no matter how you try to lie that is the case. If it needs to force people to come to it, then it is no more than a bad boyfriend. And yep, you admit that this god need to hurt people to draw people to it.

If I said a human did this, do you think that would be a good thing or not, Kate? If you think it wouldn’t be good, you show your morals are entirely subjective, changing depending on who/what something is. If you give your god a pass when you would not give the same pass to a human, your morals are no more than might equals right.

That you must claim your god knows better than ourselves shows that yet again your cult is based on control, not love. If your god gave us independence, why does it make using it a “sin”? That seems to be no more than a trap.

    1. well, there you have it, this person has shown that their god is very unlikely to exist. Since there is plenty of evidence for me, and none for your god, you have even less reason to believe in it.

I’d be happy to give you a good pinch to show you I exist. Of course, you could deny that and pretend that it was only you thinking you were pinched. This ends up going down the rabbit hole of solipsism, and at the bottom of that hole, there is no god either, only the mind of the person who invented it.

      1. The point I’m making is that people decide what they will accept as evidence or proof. You are using cheap rhetoric to try to get around my point, but in the end, as we see, you are forced to accept it.

So you can say, “there is plenty of evidence for me, and none for your god,” if you want to. But what I’m hearing you say is that you hate God, you hate him so much in fact, that you are willing to go to Hell for rejecting all the obvious proof of his existence.

So I guess the real question here is, why do you hate God so much?

        1. Your point has failed as usual. I’m not forced to accept any of your lies. You can’t show I don’t exist. You claimed that I don’t, but you have nothing, just like when you claim your god does exist and you have nothing.

You are quite a failure and a fraud, dear. You have to try to ignore what I’ve said and return to the dog’s vomit of accusing me of hating your imaginary friend. Sorry, dear, I don’t. I can hate what this cult makes christians do, but I don’t hate a god that doesn’t exist.

I’m not going to hell, dear, since hell doesn’t exist. Your sadistic fantasies will never come true.

Every cult claims their god is “obvious” and despite this claim, not a single cult has ever shown that their gods exist. You are a failure with every other cult in history.
