Not So Polite Dinner Conversation – church and school

It’s a shame how young people are taught to lie by their religion. Again, MJ makes some ignorant claims, trying to claim atheism is a religion (sigh). My response below. (no memes today)

As usual, MJ has to make things up to support her nonsense.   Atheism isn’t a religion.  It is not a pantheist religion which means: the philosophical and theological belief that the universe and everything in it are identical to God.

Atheism is a conclusion about one topic: are there gods?   Atheists have concluded there are not, and one can be  a theist and an atheist, depending on what gods you believe in and which ones you don’t.  

Public schools are indeed secular, which means not connected to religion or spirituality. Belief in the supernatural are not taught in public schools here in the US.  That’s because the founders realized that there would be many religions in this nation and no one of them should be considered the only right one. In the early 19^th century, the Philadelphia Bible Riots happened when people were ignorant enough to try to force their religion on others.   Family and community can handle the teaching of such things. 

MJ has to pretend she’s a martyr when she claims every religion but hers gets special treatment.  Of course, that isn’t true.  That Christians don’t have a requirement for 5 prayers a day, a certain diet, etc isn’t anyone’s fault but their own.  They have been getting their way for decades, with Christian holidays being forced on everyone when it comes to taking vacation. 

Schools don’t teach an atheistic worldview.  They teach a worldview based on facts and perhaps one could call hat an “antheistic” (without gods) worldview.  MJ and her fellow cultists don’t like that since they have none and not one can show that their version of the cult is any better than the rest.  That MJ is upset that people can’t answer “God” to questions is typical and shows just how hypocritical they are when people depend on facts, not god, to heal humans with medical knowledge.

If you are a teacher who tells fairy tales to children as facts, you are not doing your job and deserve to be fired.  As soon as MJ or one of her fellow Chrisians shows that they can do what jesus promised, we can consider their claims facts.  Until then, their claims are as invalid as those muslims that they clutch their pearls over when they whine about “sharia law”. 

Then poor MJ tries to claim that since atheism is a religion, then making secular schools is against the law.  Funny what idiotic claims can be made when you lie and make up definitions. 

So, no, MJ and her cultist friends aren’t being forced into the atheist religion since no atheist religion exists.  I believe in no gods, so I cannot have a religion in the way Christianity is a religion.  And in any case, even if atheism was a religion, it would still be banned from public US schools since it is illegal.  

I wonder, does MJ want atheists to have the tax relief that churches do?  I suspect not. I also note that MJ makes her god so pitiful and impotent, when her god just can’t do anything about what schools do. Surely this god can correct what the mean ol’ schools teach, right?

If you send kids to public school, they will learn that their parents aren’t perfect.  And the only one who seem to need to control their children are those who don’ want them to know how fallible they actually are.   They don’t want “woke” things to be taught since that would reveal their parents as the bigots they actually are.

It’s hilarious how MJ benefits from public schools when everyone gets a level playing field when it comes to education. Admittedly, the ideal isn’t reality in many cases.  MJ wants “private schools” which could and do only admit the best and brightest since people with handicaps are always going to be more expensive.  Having only private schools will cut choices since each school must have a certain amount of students to make it financially feasible.  Will there be a catholic, a Calvinist, an anabaptist, a Orthodox,  a Jewish, a muslim, a secular school in a small town in some rural area?  Highly unlikely, but with a secular school, there is only one needed. 

Home schooling has not been the idea that these frauds claim.  Ignorance from parents who are not qualified to teach make an ignorant population.  Theists are often those that homeschool and they spread the same lies they hear in their churches.  A child who doesn’t know that science shows that their holy book is wrong will be the ones fired by the child that learned how to think.  If a child is taught that their country can do no wrong, they will repeat those atrocities.   

Many schools can be claimed as being free of religion.   Worldviews aren’t religions, no matter how many times Christians lie about that to try to sneak their cult into these schools. The sooner we realize that these cultist want a theocracy, the better.
