What the Boss Likes – ridiculing fascists

Yet more wannabee nazis were marching around Washington DC a couple of days ago. And gee, they were in white masks, just like any good klansman would be. Always fun to see just how cowardly these poor lil’ idiots are.

A fellow did a good job of ridiculing them.

  1. You may have left God, but you are on his side. It is horrifying to watch hatred like this rise up to where it is becoming acceptable. I shudder to see what is happening all over the world. The harm the Republicans have done to women by overturning Roe vs Wade is hard to believe. To top it all off they don’t want women on contraceptives! When I first read that I thought, “It can’t be true! Now, in 2023?” I guess they want all women to have 10 kids each or something. Hust fucking unbelievable. Anyway, keep up the good fight although I don’t believe we will win down here on this earth. Things like this, and global warming is why Jesus will return to get us out of here. I hope it’s okay for me to comment on your blog?

    1. You may comment on my blog. I rarely ban someone, and I always respond.

I am no fan of Christianity. I’m happily not on the side of your god, which is described as a genocidal lunatic, killing people for the actions of others and telling slaves to never seek their freedom.

This god is no friend of women either. I have no need for a religion that is based on a god that has women as property, or, at best, second class citizens.

I agree that the republicans have done much harm and are quite stupid when it comes to birth control.

Happily, the sadistic fantasies of the end times won’t happen, and no, jesus won’t return to save anyone. The only place we can win is on this earth. There is nothing else.

  3. Hi there, I’m sorry I screwed up on my reply. I make a lot of mistakes when I’m using my computer. I can’t remember exactly what I wrote, but will try again. I’m glad you want to talk.
Your description of God is not new to me because I have had the same misgivings. When I read the Old Testament, God seemed to be sometimes cruel and sometimes loving. As for women being chattel, I lay all the blame on men. They are physically stronger, so they made the decisions. I don’t think God likes it at all. In fact, he saved Abraham’s wife from having to have sex with the Pharoah of Egypt.
As for genocide, I read what God said about those people and they were horrible. They sacrificed their children to idols. They burned them alive. When I tried to find out more about those nations the experts on ancient times said they would not write about it, it was too terrible.
God tells us they were murderers, rapists, slave traders and thieves. They would go to towns and rob them of their harvest. They kidnapped children for slaves. God let them be nations for years before he punished them. I don’t think you would want any of them to be your next-door-neighbor. I think God destroys nations to protect the rest of us. It isn’t something he enjoys doing. He calls it his, “strange act.”
I compare it to watching a movie where the bad guys are so bad you want them to die. You can tell they will never change to be better. No, they want to kill and destroy and think only of themselves. They hurt thousands of people.
As for suffering, I left God for four years after I saw the suffering of my daughter during childbirth. I thought of all the millions of women who had died in childbirth and how unfair and cruel it was. All suffering seemed unfair to me. But I decided to read a lot of books on why God allows suffering and came to a limited understanding. I accepted the fact that it had to happen.
We are in a war for the universe. Lucifer was an angel of God but became angry he didn’t have the honor and power of God. The Bible says there was war in heaven and God won the war. No surprise there. Since then, Satan has warred against God through us. Being separated from God, the source of all goodness, he devolved into becoming a completely evil being. He enjoys harming people, especially God. He brings all the evil in the world through people.
We are soldiers, either in God’s army or Satan’s. Soldiers get hurt, suffer and die. It happens to all of us. God says to us, “Be strong and of good courage. I will be with you.” Life on earth is deep and meaningful.
I have suffered greatly in my life since that time I studied suffering. The worst time was when my grandsons died. My oldest grandson died from drinking too much and also taking drugs one night. My youngest grandson died from heroin or fentanyl just a year and a half ago. Both of them had trouble in their lives. Their father had left the family. Other things. I have said I don’t know which is more painful, their deaths or their lives. The older one was always in trouble with bad guys and the police. The younger one was full of depression at losing his brother and just withdrew from everyone, even his friends. We did all we could do to help him, but nothing worked.
But there was a wonderful thing that happened before they died, ten years apart. They gave their lives to God and were praying to him. God didn’t save their lives here on earth, but he saved their spirits for heaven. I couldn’t ask for more than that since they will live in happiness forever. They couldn’t cope in this world, but they will do fine up there.
God comforted me during this time. I told him it was too painful, my body felt like there was a knife inside, and he took that pain away. He is a truly wonderful helper in our great times of need.
I understand being mad at God. My sister, who is now a Christian, used to curse God to his face. She hated him because of all the troubles she had been through. She is at peace with him now. She says she doesn’t understand how people live without his help. And I guess this answer is long enough. If you have any questions, please ask.

    1. You say you blame men for what your god is shown to do in the bible. This seems to mean that you think your god is okay but men aren’t. Your god is quite impotent if it can’t make it known and can’t stand up against puny men. Your god had no problem with Abraham lying. Your god did nothing to correct these men who supposedly misrepresented it.

You read what men said about people and belived it ignorantly. There is nothing to support the claims of child sacrifice. What we do have are the instances where this god had no problem with child sacrifice, with Isaac and with Jeptha’s daughter.

Men said they were murderers, rapists, etc. No god needed and again, your god’s people stole children for slaves. Just look at Numbers 31 where your god demands its share of the slaves. This god doesn’t have to do anything it doesn’t want, by definition. You make up yet more excuses.
You make more excuses, Belle, with your god that supposedly cursed women with pain and death in childbirth. You make excuses so you can cling to the idea of heaven and ignore the viciousness of your god.

There is no war, just ignorant humans inventing a story. Amazingly the story has a god that is so unimpressive, the angels themselves didn’t think they needed to obey it. Your god works with this satan, Belle, repeatedly. This god kills every non-christian and then intentionally turns Satan loose on the christians who are left in Revelation.

Many people have suffered, and unsurprisingly your god does nothing. These are the lies your book written by men tell:

“13 No testing has overtaken you that is not common to everyone. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tested beyond your strength, but with the testing he will also provide the way out so that you may be able to endure it.” 1 corinthians 10

” 6 Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Phillipians 4

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves the crushed in spirit.” Psalms 34

Unsurprisingly an imaginary god failed the boys.

You convinced yourself that it was better for boys to die, and excused your god’s failure. And your sister seems to have done the same. Plenty of people have great lives without your god. You can’t see that since you must believe that everyone needs it, includign you.

      1. The words from the Bible have all come true for me. He is near to me, he does answer my prayers and he does give me peace. Men aren’t okay. Just read the news. I don’t think I have to convince you of that.

I neglected to write about how God has suffered. He lost many children. He became a man and suffered with us. He did good all his life here. He didn’t want to be crucified and asked his Father for some other way, but there was no other way. He went through the second death for us, feeling forever lost.

There is good and evil in the world. You seem to think there is only evil. There is evil because God has given everyone freedom of choice. He does not control us unless we ask him. He has also saved many people’s lives by miracles. No one dies without his consent. As Jesus told us, not a bird falls without God knowing it.

Yes, I am sure lots of people have great lives without God. The rich especially.

      3. Well, because I have read the Bible since I was 19 and am now 73, I think I know and mostly understand what God is saying in the Bible. I learned things that were against my church’s teachings and accepted them. I have read there are 35,000 Christian denominations on earth. They all think they are right. I haven’t been to church for at least 15 years. I worship God at home. I left my church because the people were so unloving. They were not living out the gospel of Jesus. Of course, I fail at that too, but I asked myself, “Will I ever bring anyone here again?” The answer was no, so I left and I’m still glad I did.

      5. I have done that for years and have come to believe God is the king of the Universe and is loving and good. The evil in the world is from Satan and ourselves. God has given us a way of escape from all this; believe in him and his son. Jesus said, “This is life eternal, that you believe in God and Jesus the Messiah whom he sent.” Someone asked Jesus, “What is the work God wants us to do?” Jesus said, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.” We only have to believe. God is the one who changes our hearts to do good.

      6. No evidence for what you believe, Belle. No evidence your god is “king of the universe”, and no evidence it is loving and good, not even in the bible.

This god fails at even doing what 1 Corinthians 13 has as what love is. It murdres people for the actions of others, something completely unjust and unfair. Or would you accept being killed for something I did, Belle? Would you be happy if a child was killed for what I’ve done or what you’ve done?

There is no escape from ‘all of this’, a common complaint by christians who insist how they hate this world, but gee, you don’t do anything to leave it early do you? We dont’ see christians by the thousands helping remove land mines, or cluster bombs, to risk their lives doing good and maybe get a quick trip to the hereafter.

Repeating failed promises dosen’t work, Belle. I am not impressed. Plenty of people do good, no god or belle needed.

      9. Belle, if this god supposedly answers all of your prayers, why haven’t you prayed for things like all amputees and burn victims to be healed? I will posit that it is because you know that prayer will never come true. If you don’t ask, you don’t have to acknowledge that your prayers and your god fail.

Humans are okay, if imperfect. And I do read the news and see no evidence of your god doing anything at all, despite your claims that *your* prayers are being personally attended to by this god. I know that there are plenty of prayers being made constantly. One would think that this would cause a noticeable effect. It doesn’t.

You offer the same personal testimony that people of all religions offer and like them, you have no evidence your god does anything.

This god hasn’t suffered at all, being imaginary. Even in the myths of your religion, this god has lost no children at all, having none. This god commits and commands genocide repeatedly and kills its supposed own people, and innocents, like David’s son. This is not a character that cares or loves.

Christians don’t agree on the whole trinity thing, and the only character that needed a blood sacrifice by torture is this god, so claiming that this god suffered is nothing more than it literally chose to do. It, being omnipotent could have decided on something else that would “save” people, not a primitive bit of blood magic. This god wanted to be crucified.

You only mention one version of the story, Belle. The scene in the garden of Gethsemane which the gospel of Luke has on the mount of olives, and john doesn’t mention at all, is a problem since this request from jesus not to have to be cruxified isn’t in all of the gospels. The jesus in the gospel of john has no problem with the entire process.

Not sure how you get that I think there is only evil in the world. I know that there isn’t and no one needs your god as some cure to the sickness that christians have made up.

Per your own bible, this god does not give free will, and your repeated claims don’t change wht the bible says. This god interferes in human events, destroyign free will all through the bible. This god mind controls people to get what it wants, see Exodus 3, 4, 7, etc, and joshua 11. it forces humans to work with satan for its “plan”, Revelation 17. And of course, there is what jesus and Paul said about that this god has long since chosen who it will allow to accept it and then damns the rest for no fault of their own, Matthew 13 and Romans 9, amongst other places.

Again, Belle, it seems that you are terribly ignorant about what the bible actually says. This is nothing new, since much of the bible is unpalatable to modern mores. I recommend looking at some counter apologist sites to see what the bible actually says and why non-christians find fault with it. Here are a few:

        Murder in the Bible

        All contradictions in The Bible

Internet Infidels Modern Library Subject Index

There is no evidence of any miracles at all, and by your silly claim that “no one dies without his consent”, this makes your god responsible for every death, the father killed by an IED while serving in the military, the mother who dies of cancer with young children left behind, the abused child who dies because of neglect and violence, the person who commits suicide since they were abused by a priest or pastor, etc.

        and it does nothing.

I see you choose to make false claims that somehow the rich aren’t christians, Belle. Funny how some pastors are among the ultra rich. Of course, you’ll probably claim they aren’t TrueChristians(tm).

      10. God does answer all my prayers. He says, yes, no or wait. Because I have seen how much better his decisions are then mine, I accept that. I know God doesn’t heal all people with prayer, but he does heal some. He knows what is best. My husband had a stroke 2 years ago. The doctors told me he was going to die. Our family prayed for him, and we did not know what God would do, but we waited. He didn’t die, he is still right here in the room with me. He also doesn’t have to be in a wheelchair and his brain functions fine. His case has been talked about at our hospital and they call it a “medical marve,” which is doctor speak for miracle. The apostle Paul asked God to heal him and God said no. He said, “My power is made perfect in weakness.” Paul said, “I will then rejoice in my weakness. For when I am weak, I am strong. It is the prosperity preachers who kept telling people it is God’s will to heal everyone. I have never believed that. We all have to die sometime. I accept that too. God says, “The last enemy to be destroyed is death.

You say God does nothing, just like Habakkuk in the Bible. How do you know this? Do you read Christian books? Do you listen to Christian podcasts?

As for the way Jesus died, I think if the Jewish nation had accepted Jesus as the Messiah, then Jesus would have laid himself on the temple alter and told the priests to kill him. This is what happened to the lambs who were killed in the Old Testament.

God has given all humanity a conscience. The Bible says God’s light goes to every man. Those whom you say did evil things and then come into judgement, it is through no fault of their own. Yes, it is their fault because they knew what they were doing was wrong but did it anyway.

As for hell and the judgement, God will not torture people forever and ever, as some churches preach. That teaching came from the Greeks and then the Catholic Church. They will be punished but then die. The Bible says they will be ashes. The smoke from the fire will be forever. Smoke is a result of fire. What will never be forgotten is the result of rebelling against God. For he is the source of life and goodness. When we rebel against him, we cut ourselves off from life. God has asked people, “Why will you die!”

When you think of the 10 Commandments, which one do you want to break? Is God asking too much? We can’t do it all by ourselves, but God says he will help us. Bible says, “The good man falls seven times and gets up. The wicked man falls once and doesn’t get up.”

So, do you want to treat your parents badly, murder, lie, steal, sleep around on your partner, or be envious. Those are the commandments concerning our neighbor. The first three are about acknowledging God. Because to do the last 7, we need to do the first three. God can’t do that for us.

      11. Unfortunately, for you, Belle, your bible never says that your god will answer prayers with “yes, no or wait”. It says that any prayer will be answered with what is asked for, no exceptions or excuses, and answered quickly.

You also claim this god’s decisions are so much better than yours. That is called an excuse, Belle, since you must always insist that this god is right and you are wrong to cling to the religion that promises you that you’ll never die. Any sycophant to a tyrant must always claim that the tyrant is always right.

Your god heals no people with prayer, and you have to invent excuses for your god why he doesn’t, despite the promises this god makes in James 5, etc as noted above.

Plenty of people recover from strokes and surprise, they didn’t need prayed for, just the very hard work of medical professionals. As always, a Christian seems to need to steal the responsibity of people for their god. I have no tolerance for this at all. You claim that this is supposedly a medical marvel, but surprise, it isn’t, and you like so very many Christians lie to increase the story value. Of course, you ignore all of the times that prayer doesn’t work and people die, are paralyzed, can’t speak, can’t see, etc. It’s so very convenient, isn’t it?

Yep, like Paul, you make excuses when your god fails, nothing new here. Yes, people will eventually die. You calim your god controls that, and ignore that many people die when they don’t have to, *if* your god exists. Alas, your bible tells everyone that it’s god’s will to heal everyone. Like many Christians you choose to ignore where your bible fails, like in the verses below:

““22 Jesus answered them, ‘Have[b] faith in God. 23 Truly I tell you, if you say to this mountain, “Be taken up and thrown into the sea”, and if you do not doubt in your heart, but believe that what you say will come to pass, it will be done for you. 24 So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received[c] it, and it will be yours.” – Mark 11

“Go into all the world and proclaim the good news[d] to the whole creation. 16 The one who believes and is baptized will be saved; but the one who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: by using my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes in their hands,[e] and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.’” Mark 16

“7 ‘Ask, and it will be given to you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who searches finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. 9 Is there anyone among you who, if your child asks for bread, will give a stone? 10 Or if the child asks for a fish, will give a snake? 11 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him!” Matthew 7

“1 Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; but if you do not, then believe me because of the works themselves. 12 Very truly, I tell you, the one who believes in me will also do the works that I do and, in fact, will do greater works than these, because I am going to the Father. 13 I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If in my name you ask me[e] for anything, I will do it.” John 14

“ 7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. “ John 15

“13 Are any among you suffering? They should pray. Are any cheerful? They should sing songs of praise. 14 Are any among you sick? They should call for the elders of the church and have them pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up; and anyone who has committed sins will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective. 17 Elijah was a human being like us, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth. 18 Then he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain and the earth yielded its harvest.” James 5”

Look above, Belle, this is how I know your god nothing. Yep, I have indeed read Christian books and listened to Christian podcasts, and have heard the lies told in both, how this god did something for someone. Never any evidence, never anything more than coincidence, never anything more than hard human work.

You make a lot of claims, Belle, to again excuse your vicious god. You simply make up things to salve your conscience for worshipping such a being. Lambs didn’t ask to have their throats slit and bled out for an imaginary god. Your god, per the bible, required a blood sacrifice by torture, quite like those lambs, Belle. It could have done anything else, but since it was invented by an ignorant and violent people, it did what they did.

No evidence that your god merely exists, much less gave humanity a conscience. We see that illustrated quite clearly in the sad cases of feral children. Christians can’t even agree on what their supposed god given conscience tells them to do, so your baseless claim fails at least twice right here.

Unsurprisingly, yet again, you blame the victim, Belle, like so many Christians do. Your bible has that your god has already chosen who it will allow to accept it, and then it damns those who it didn’t allow, which is not their fault. Christians themselves don’t’ agree on what is “wrong”, Belle.

We then again see that you make up your own religion with your attempt to claim universalism, a common christian invention, which is not what your bible supports. You have to lie and blame other sources for what your bible directly says, again trying to avoid responsibility for worshipping a violent and ignorant religion. It’s not just the Catholics etc who believe an eternal torture chamber, Belle. Smoke doesn’t last forever, Belle, it must have a source, so your attempts to play word games doesn’t work. Yes in some places it does say ashes, I’m guessing you are referring to the parable of the weeds amongst the wheat: “30 Let both of them grow together until the harvest; and at harvest time I will tell the reapers, Collect the weeds first and bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn.”’” Amongst other places. You might want to look at the story of Lazarus and Abraham which directly contradicts the idea of a hell with an end.

And on other places it has claims of eternal torture. “Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.” Jude 1 (why would a fire need to be eternal if not eternally burning something?) “And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.”” Revelation 14 (again, it says ever and ever) The books of the bible were never meant to be read together, Belle, so they contradict each other on what people believed in. That they were brought together and claimed to be from one source has made Christianity the nonsense it is.

This god is not the source of life or goodness, being imaginary. Even in the bible it is not, with this god failing even the half-decent description of love in it. Goodness isn’t murdering david’s son for what David did.

As for rebelling, that is a false claim since again, your bible says that it isn’t our choice to rebel, but this god’s actions. And what are we rebelling against, since again, Christians can’t agree what this god even wants?

There are far more than just the first ten commandments that you are supposed to follow, Belle. Christians always try to forget what their supposed messiah says in Matthew 5. I have no need to follow the first commandment to worship this petty god. Not all parents deserve to be honored. I don’t need to pretend that women are property in the whole coveting nonsense. No imaginary god’s name is sacrosanct. No one needs to follow nonsense about working on the sabbath nor killing those who do work on it like this god commands. So, hmm, 4 out of 10 are worthwhile? Less than half of the first ten and a vanishingly small percentage of the 400+ that come after.

and this is what the proverb says “Lie not in wait as a wicked man against the dwelling of the righteous; do no violence to his home;16 for the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity.”
Happily, us “wicked” don’t stumble but help each other, no god needed.

No one needs to do those first three commandments at all to do the others. That’s simply a lie from a Christian. Us “wicked” do fine with not committing murder, etc. Your god? not so much. Your god said to abandon one’s family, Belle, and to hate one’s mother and father. Not dislike, not to love this god more, the word is hate.
