So, evidently these idiots, and Abbott in particular must not think that the people who drowned horribly were praying while they suffered. I guess maybe their imaginary friend only answers prayers of dry white people in their homes off the flood plain?

I am deeply sorry for the loss of children’s lives in this incident, it is most heartbreaking, indeed, and I think it represents a total and complete dereliction of the responsibility of parents as adults, however I cannot help but have nothing but disdain for the people of Texas for listening to scum like Donald Trump, Greg Abbott, et al, tell them that climate change is a hoax! And Trump defunds the National Weather Service, You CHOSE to listen to Trump/Abbott LIE though their TEETH all for payoff money from oil & gas industry lobbyists and crooks and this is A result, not the ONLY result, because there will be more; much, much more!

    I have great difficulty having sympathy for you; you are disgusting parents and adults, and have abandoned your responsibility to your children and their safety by putting all of your “faith” into scum like Trump, Abbott & Ken Paxton (who looks like I wouldn’t leave him in a room alone with my dog!) and completely writing off science in favor of your POLITICAL LEANINGS! I couldn’t think of anything more stupid! Even if you are deluded by mythology & religion that does NOT excuse you from missing the realities that are right in front of your face! Even the most superficial of investigations into climate reality should have produced some question in your mind about what these scumbags were telling you, but you couldn’t even be bothered to do that.

    I am truly sorry for your loss, truly, especially for the poor children who were misfortunate enough to have to rely upon you for their safety. Between climate actions and your ridiculous gun laws, children almost have no chance.
